Virtual Introduction to Para Powerlifting from Team USA Para Powerlifting Team Member, Blaze Foster. Save the date - April 16 at 7 pm eastern time zone 2024 Recorded Zoom training with Q & A Blaze will introduce the basics of the Paralympic Powerlifting sport such as the rules, classifications, what the sport is all about, how many LP athletes throughout the world have excelled in this sport and how this sport brings great positive awareness to our community. This virtual zoom clinic is inclusive and everyone is welcome. Blaze will describe his journey to earning his spot on the Team USA Para Powerlifting Team and the basic qualifications for what it takes to get on the team. ------------------------------------------------------------- The Dwarf Athletic Association of America (DAAA) will be hosting the 35th National Games during the 2024 Little People of America (LPA) National conference in Baltimore, Maryland June 28-July 5, 2024. The Dwarf Athletic Association of America is a nonprofit organization created in 1985 to develop, promote, and provide quality amateur level athletic competition opportunities for dwarf athletes in the United States. DAAA athletes compete in track & field athletics, basketball, boccia, swimming, table tennis, badminton, volleyball and soccer. DAAA is a self-sustaining organization that models fair competition and competitive excellence. Whether recreational, developmental or elite competitions, DAAA provides the context for each athlete's potential to be taken seriously and provides an opportunity for each athlete to be their best. DAAA is dedicated to serving the estimated quarter million people in the United States of America who have any of the more than 200 forms of dwarfism as a result of skeletal dysplasia or related causes.
