College Mentorship Program

This program was created to equip LP high school seniors with the resources necessary to navigate their first year of college/University or Trade School. By connecting students with an LP mentor who has graduated from one of the above, this program will provide them with the skills and resources necessary to set them up for success as they navigate their first year.

The program will run from February – July of every year and each student will be paired with a mentee based on their field of interest and location.

There are a total of 6 modules with the expectation that the mentor and mentee will meet for at least 1 additional hour per month for a one-on-one discussion on that month’s module.

Modules will include:

  • Introduction to program and mentor/mentee
  • Personality assessments and using them to your advantage.
  • Learning how to use LinkedIn to its full potential.
  • A panel discussion to provide students with a realistic perspective on what to expect.
  • Applying for scholarships
  • Group wrap-up with all program participants and mentors

Throughout the program, we will invite guest speaks to share their experience and advice based on the various modules.
