Advocacy is not only about challenging legislation or creating bills. Advocacy is about changing public perception. Whether you are a little person or an ally, however you’re an advocate, we want to hear about it.

Is Dwarfism Considered a Disability?
A common question that is often asked and/or debated within the community is on the subject surrounding should dwarfism be considered a disability. Please review our statement on the topic and should you have any questions, contact Advocacy Director, Samantha Rayburn - Trubyk ([email protected]).
About LPA’s Advocacy Committee
LPA's Advocacy Committee was created in the early 2000's. The committee was formed by LPs and for LPs. LP's wanted and needed our voice to be heard about issues that were impacting and harming the community and noticed that we would see a meaningful impact when we collaboratively approached industries and organizations by introducing who we are and the humanity we share.
The committee has spent much time successfully advocating for little people, however there is much more work to do. We believe that together, we are better and know that everyone can become an advocate in their own way.
