Executive Directors Letter

This is a really exciting time for LPA!

In 2007 we celebrated our 50th Anniversary.  That achievement is almost unheard of for a primarily all-volunteer organization.  But LPA is more than just an organization; we are a movement.  I truly believe that.

The members of LPA, both people with dwarfism and average-height family members, are changing society bit by bit. With everyone's efforts, including the documentaries and exposure of the families on TV, we will get the to the 'tipping point' one day in our lifetimes.  It will be completely unacceptable to use derogatory language, discriminate, or disenfranchise a person with dwarfism.  LPA will keep working towards the goals of acceptance of difference and diversity, and of serving our community.

As we move closer to the end of this decade I hope you are proud of our achievements, and our growth.  With this web site re-design we are THE place on the Internet for dwarfism issues and information.

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me.

With warmest regards,

Joanna Campbell
